Privacy Policy
Effective September 16, 2026
Serve Receive does not collect your information. The app has no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking. Your teams, player names and formations stay on your device unless you choose to share them.
This policy covers the Serve Receive app for iPhone and iPad, made by Tim Bergeron.
Information stored on your device
Your setups, including setup names, player names, jersey numbers, receivers and formations, are saved only in the app’s storage on your device. The app also saves a few settings, such as which rotation you last viewed. None of this is sent to us or to anyone else.
If backups are turned on, your device includes this information in its iCloud or computer backup. Apple handles those backups. Deleting the app deletes this information from your device.
Sharing and exporting
Serve Receive sends information off your device only when you choose to share or export it. It then goes only where you send it through the iOS share sheet. You can share:
- a link to a setup,
- a PNG image or PDF of your rotations, or
- a backup file of your saved setups.
A shared link contains the setup itself, including player names and jersey numbers, so anyone with the link can see them. Share links only with people you intend to see your team.
The clipboard
The app reads your clipboard only when you tap Open link from clipboard, to find a Serve Receive link. It doesn’t save or send what it reads.
Siri and Shortcuts
If you use Siri or Shortcuts with Serve Receive, Apple processes your request. The app gives Siri the answer to speak or show, such as setup names and who is setting or receiving. Apple’s Privacy Policy covers how Apple handles Siri requests.
Opening links in a web browser
Shared links open the Serve Receive web app at timbergeron.com/sr/ for people who don’t have the app. The setup is stored in the part of the link after “#”. Browsers don’t send that part to the web server. Setups you save in the web app stay in that browser, on that device.
The website uses Google Analytics to count visits. Google collects standard information such as approximate location, device and browser type. The setup in the link isn’t included. Google’s Privacy Policy applies to that information. The app itself doesn’t use Google Analytics.
Crash reports
If you’ve turned on Share With App Developers in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. You can turn this off at any time.
Children
Serve Receive doesn’t collect personal information from anyone, including children. Coaches may enter their players’ names, but those names stay on the coach’s device unless the coach shares them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the effective date above.
