Common questions

What do I need to use Serve Receive?

An iPhone with iOS 18 or later, or an iPad with iPadOS 18 or later. You don’t need an account or an internet connection.

How do I share a setup with another coach?

Tap the Share button, then Share link, and send the link however you like. When the other coach opens it, the setup appears in the Serve Receive web app in their browser.

To add it to their app, they copy the link, open Team & Settings, tap Open link from clipboard, then tap Save. It’s saved as a new setup and never replaces one they already have.

How do I print my rotations?

Tap the Share button, then Export PDF for printing. Choose Export image instead for a picture you can text or post.

Can I use Siri?

Yes. Try “Open Varsity in Serve Receive” with the name of your setup, “Show rotation 4 in Serve Receive”, “Next rotation in Serve Receive” or “Who is receiving in Serve Receive”. You’ll find more phrases in Team & Settings under Siri & Shortcuts.

Where are my setups saved?

Only on your device, and in its iCloud or computer backup if backups are turned on. Setups don’t sync between devices, and deleting the app deletes them. To move a setup to another device, share it as a link and save it there.

The app says it couldn’t save or open my setups

Your saved file is kept unchanged. Tap Retry saving or Try again. If that doesn’t work, tap Export backup or Export saved file and email us the file so we can help recover your setups.
